History of District #11

Over the years, Rainbows assemblies have existed all over Lorain County.  These assemblies have all been a part of District #11.  There have been assemblies in Vermillion, Amherst, Elyria, Lorain, and Huron.  There was also a Firelands Assembly. Today, the only assembly in District #11 that remains is Sandstone Assembly #123.  At one point, even this assembly was so small that it was considered dark, but since then the assembly has grown tremendously.  Today, it has over twenty members and is continuing to grow.

History of Sandstone Assembly #123

Sandstone Assembly #123, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls was instituted on July 31st, 1957.  Over ninety girls were initiated that day.  Today, our assembly has over twenty members and we are getting new requests for membership at almost every meeting.
